Valerie Ghevart
Valérie Ghévart is a professional iconographer. She worked as a photograph research manager at the Nouvelles Images publishing house from 2002 to 2009, then as a publishing director at Editions du Désastre.
After 10 years working in graphic design and another 10 in iconography, she pursued her artistic career by creating works inspired by her various passions, such as horses, gardens, jazz, books and photography.
In October 2011, Valérie Ghévart resumed her Master's degree in Arts, specialising in book publishing, at university in Rennes, France, in order to further develop her artistic senses and move into the social sector.
Inspired by the sepia, colour and black-and-white photographs of Shinzo Maeda, Ansel Adams, Michael Kenna and Gregory Colbert, Valérie Ghévart treats us to a enticing mix of photographic purism in her works.
